MK9 Technologies Services

Technology sales recruitment, done by industry experts who have done the job.

Four ways to work with us — pick the one that matches how fast you need to move, how senior the hire is, and how much of the process you want us running

Contingent Search

Fast, no-risk access to active talent

For roles you need filled quickly, where speed and volume matter more than exhaustive market mapping.

  • Draws on our live pipeline of technology sales candidates already engaged and interviewing

  • No placement, no fee — you only pay once someone starts

  • Ideal for AE, BDR/SDR, and mid-level sales hires where time-to-fill is the priority

  • First shortlist typically within days, not weeks

Best for: volume hiring, backfills, roles where "good and fast" beats "perfect and slow."

Retained Search

Targeted, confidential search for leadership hires

For Sales Director, VP Sales, and CRO-level appointments where the right person probably isn't looking for a job today.

  • Direct, confidential approach to named individuals at competitor and target companies — not just the active job-seeker pool

  • Full market mapping before any candidate is approached

  • Structured assessment against your specific hiring criteria, not just a CV match

  • Includes a replacement guarantee window if the hire doesn't work out

Best for: leadership and revenue-critical hires where getting it wrong is expensive, and where you want us to go and find the person rather than wait for applicants.

Embedded Recruitment

An in-house recruiter, without the in-house headcount

For companies scaling sales headcount fast enough that recruitment becomes a full-time job in itself.

  • Dedicated recruiter time embedded inside your hiring process, working to your calendar and your culture

  • Full access to MK9's network, tools, and sourcing capability behind the scenes

  • Cost spread monthly rather than paid per hire — predictable budgeting for a busy hiring period

  • Deep familiarity with your business builds up over time, making each subsequent hire faster and better matched

Best for: Series A/B vendors in a hiring sprint — building out a whole sales team over a quarter or two, not just filling one seat.

Sales Jump Start

Recruitment plus the first 90 days of ramp

The gap most recruiters ignore: a great hire still takes months to become productive. Sales Jump Start closes that gap.

  • We don't just place the sales hire — we help stand up their first 30/60/90-day ramp plan, drawing on direct experience carrying an enterprise tech quota

  • Practical GTM support alongside the placement: territory/account planning input, MEDDICC-style qualification frameworks, and onboarding structure

  • Positions MK9 as a genuine growth partner, not just a placement fee — a natural next step for a Series A/B vendor who's just hired their first few reps and needs them productive fast

  • Can be sold standalone (as a fractional GTM/enablement engagement) or bundled with a placement

Best for: first-time sales hires, founders who've never built a sales team before, or any client who wants the hire to hit number faster than a normal ramp curve.

How We Charge

Contingent — 15–20% of first-year base salary, invoiced on start date. No-win-no-fee — nothing due until someone joins.

Retained — 25–30% of first-year package, split across three stages (engagement / shortlist / placement). The split reduces your upfront risk while guaranteeing commitment on hard-to-fill roles.

Embedded — Fixed monthly retainer (day-rate equivalent), typically a 3–6 month minimum term. Priced on committed days/week, not per hire — makes sense once you're hiring 3+ roles in a quarter.

Sales Jump Start — Either a fixed project fee (e.g. flat rate for a 90-day engagement) or a placement fee + smaller enablement add-on. Two ways to engage: as a bolt-on to any placement, or standalone for a client who already has the hire and just wants the ramp support.
